Switching from openRadioss to openCourant
On October the 1st, Siemens discontinued the OpenRadioss project. The openradioss.org website now redirects to a product transition page, and the OpenRadioss GitHub repository returns a 404, taking with it the full history of community contributions since Altair open-sourced the Radioss solver in 2022. No public archive was left behind.
OpenRadioss was something rare: an industry-proven, production-grade explicit finite element solver for crash, blast, and impact analysis, available to everyone under the GNU AGPL v3. Researchers, engineers, and developers around the world built on it for four years.
That work is not lost!
